Chadderton, Oldham
A fairly typical image of the sort of building frequently found in this part of the northwest of England. Formerly a Cotton Mill, now home to a business that manufactures electronic components. (Edit Nov. 2011. Gem Mill, built 1901, demolished 2008. In 1942 Ferranti Ltd acquired the Mill for design and manufacture of electronic valves and, in time, semiconductors. This part of the Ferranti company was sold in 1998 and became Zetex Semiconductors.)

New Houses at South Chadderton
There used to be playing fields between Coalshaw Green and the tram stop at South Chadderton. Despite the fact that the fields had been in continuous use by amateur and school football teams for generations and was considered to be one of the best playing surfaces in the area the plans for the 124 property development were subsequently approved by Oldham Council.
