Manor and Kent Mills, Chadderton
The far mill has gone. The copper dome on Manor is showing storm damage but it was subsequently repaired. You can appreciate what a fine chimney Manor has but the satellite suggests that the boiler house has gone and the chimney is isolated. The lodge has also been filled in and is a lorry parking area.

Manor mill, Chadderton
Cranked out to 28mm and against the light. However, the beautifully intact chimney, engine house and water/stair tower with copper clad dome are the defining features of this mill and can be seen. G Stott, another of the Stott dynasty, was the architect.

Manor Mill on Victoria Street in Chadderton
An elevated shot of the Byzantine style stair tower at the south east corner of the building. Designed by George Stott and built in 1906, this is one of the best surviving examples of an early 20th century ring spinning mill. It certainly has the appearance of being very well kept with no broken windows or trees growing out of the beautiful terracotta brickwork.

Manor Mill
An overall view of this fine mill (Listed Grade II), showing the chimney - still with decorative cap - and the small office block. The nearest building is Falcon Mill, unusual for Oldham in being a single-storey weaving mill.

Manor Mill, Chadderton - decorative stair tower
A magnificent Edwardian cotton spinning mill that is now in other uses. This is the decorative stair tower with its copper covered dome. Several of the surviving mills have lost the domes.
