Oldham Mumps tram stop
The temporary station pending construction of a street-running section through Oldham. Facilities on the platform are extremely basic. Posters advertise a journey time of 22 minutes to Manchester by 5 trams per hour. In practice journey times are longer due to the lack of advertised departure times by trams and, hence, longer average waiting times at departure points. The previous train service featured 4 trains per hour with journey times of either 14 minutes or 20 minutes depending on the stopping pattern. The trains also offered more passenger space per hour, despite being fewer in number, provided toilet facilities and allowed travellers to convey bicycles.
