Bridge 77 on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal
Apart from the ducks, there are several Budweiser and other beer bottles floating in the canal. This is probably a relic from the previous night's Whit band concerts.

Railway Pedestrian Crossing
The public footpath that links Ladcastle Road with the centre of Uppermill in the valley below crosses the main Huddersfield to Manchester railway line at this point. With express trains bearing down on you at over 75mph you certainly have to have your wits about you when crossing the busy track. The line, which opened in 1848, is today the route of the TransPennine Express which is one of the few train operating companies in the United Kingdom running 24 hours a day including through New Years Eve night. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TransPennine_Express Image Image Image Image
