This is at the junction with Moss Gate Road. Greenhill is a private road but with a right of way on foot. It is on the edge of High Crompton's residential area.

Greenhill Avenue
Greenhill Avenue comprises a collection of bungalows that take their name from the adjacent farm. There was also Greenhill Methodist Chapel (closed in 1963) on the corner of Rochdale Road and Moss Gate, which was the place of weddings in my wife's family who lived adjacent to it.

This belongs to a farm at the top of Greenhill on the edge of High Crompton's residential area. Not a candidate for the Prettiest Farmyard of the Year competition, but I suppose it does for them.

Rochdale Road, High Crompton
A view towards Shaw along the Rochdale Road. The corner house was occupied by ancestors of my wife's family for the majority of the 20th century, but the entire row is of some antiquity and the scene is worth recording.
