JD Sports warehouse, Rochdale
Over the mound appears the forthcoming JD Sports warehousing and distribution centre in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England.
Work began on this rather enormous warehouse in July 2010 on "Plot T" of the Kingsway Business Park. It is certainly 'the' biggest warehouse to be built in North West England in over a decade (and probably the largest to be built in the UK for years), and is set to span 616,000 sq ft. It will serve as a order fulfillment and distribution centre for JD Sports and its subsiduries Scott, Bank and others.
Although being promoted as "Rochdale", I think it may actually fall within the historical bounds of Milnrow as it is on the south side of the Rochdale Canal - within the former Milnrow Urban District. Eitherway, it now surely dominates the Rochdale borough!

Marsh and bog in Milnrow
Marsh and bog in Milnrow, close to Stanney Brook, on a bleak autumnal day in Greater Manchester, England.
This forms part of the Stanney Brook Site of Biological Interest, which (as I understand) is part funded by the slowly expanding Kingsway Business Park.
