A patch of coltsfoot flowers
Coltsfoot (tussilago farfara) is a member of the daisy family. An extract of it is used in the hard rock candy, coltsfoot rock, it has been used in traditional medicine for coughs amongst other things. Its common name is because its leaves are said to resemble a colts foot, whilst its scientific name comes from 'tussis' Latin for a cough.

208 to 198 Rochdale Road, Firgrove
An image of 208 (left) to 198 (right) Rochdale Road in the Firgrove area of Milnrow, Greater Manchester, England.
Funded by The Green Deal and Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, in April and May of 2015, 172- 226 Rochdale Road had external insulation applied to their front and rear elevations. In this image, you can see this process at work, with the dark and dated pebbledash of 204 Rochdale Road (in the centre), waiting being modernised with new façades like the surrounding homes on this busy road.
The result is far more modern, bright and pleasant.
