Church Lane, Rochdale
The vacant plot at the left was formerly occupied by the Municipal High School for Boys, at which I was a reluctant pupil for a short while; these were the days of the fearsome Doctor Payne as headmaster. Usually when I visit a site where an interesting building has been demolished, I feel some pangs of regret; however, I will make an exception in this case.

Rochdale: View down Drake Street
Looking towards the Town Centre from the Oldham Road junction. In the distance is seen the monstrosity of the 'Black Box'. Hopefully this pustule will be removed from the face of the town when the Town Centre is redeveloped following the completion of the Metrolink works.
