Former nurses' home, Sparrow Hill, Rochdale
This building has found new uses as an hotel and restaurant. The correct name of the road is, I understand, Vicarage Road: but it is well known locally as Sparrow Hill.

Dialect Writers Memorial
This memorial, in Broadfield Park, commemorates four Rochdale writers who have preserved local dialect in verse and prose. The inscription on one side reads: "In grateful memory of four Rochdale writers of the Lancashire dialect who have preserved for our children, in verse and prose that will not die. the strength and tenderness, the gravity and humours of the folk of our day, in the tongue and talk of the people. John Bright Memorial
Memorial to John Bright who was born in Rochdale and a member of parliament in the 1840s, standing up for progressive causes such as the need to reform Corn Laws.
