Calderbrook Road at the junctkion with Shore Road, Littleborough
The 'Road Ahead Closed' sign seems surprising at this location, as you could use this road to reach the A6033 Todmorden Road at Summit by turning right near St James's Church. The tall white building on the right is captioned 'Inn' on the 1895 1:2500 map. It is now the 'Caldermoor Retreat', which sounds like a pub for men, but is a beauty salon for the ladies.
