Narrowboat on the Rochdale Canal
The narrowboat is negotiating Ben Healey bridge where the canal passes beneath Hollingworth Road near Littleborough station. I was particularly taken with the floral display.

Ben Healey Bridge, Littleborough
This is a relatively new box culvert bridge built as one of the final phases of making the Rochdale Canal navigable between Littleborough and Manchester. The bridge carries the B6225 over the canal between Littleborough and Hollingworth Lake.

Littleborough station: southbound departure
Sprinter diesel unit 150150 leaves the station with the 10.03 to Headbolt Lane. This is a recently extended service, starting in Blackburn and going via Mancheser Victoria and Wigan, taking over 2 hours for the whole route.
