Hollingworth Lake and the gridlocked M62
Taken from the Smithybridge end of Hollingworth Lake, this is shortly after a sudden rain storm which has clearly caused problems on the M62!

Deep Lane, bridleway to Rakewood
It is only recently that this route has changed from footpath to bridleway. It provides a good link to the Pennine Bridleway National Trail from Milnrow.

In 1996 the Antioch cottages were looking good, with neat window boxes adding to the appeal. The satellite dish, though, spoils it slightly.
