Walsden: 'Bird i' th' hand'
On the A6036 just in Yorkshire but sadly now closed. A notice directs one to the 'Border Rose' further along into Walsden, but it is a very long walk. Behind the 'Bird' lie the scant remains of the Walsden Chemical Works.

Situated on the left hand side of the A6033 when travelling between Littleborough and Todmorden. The Mary Towneley Loop section of the Pennine Bridleway national trail runs along the skyline.
