Bacup: The 'Irwell Inn'
This hostelry is aptly-named, for the eponymous river flows right underneath. The pub is still open, although it probably does not attract many casual visitors. Some unkind locals refer to it as the 'Rat Pit', (a name from which I dissociate myself completely.)
