Nook Mill, Syke
Constructed in the 19th century as a woollen mill and taking its name from the nearby Nook Farm, Nook Mill was producing belting by 1910 and continued to do so until closure in the 1980s. Seen here from the upper storey of 48 Scarr Drive. Today the site is occupied by a small cul-de-sac called Mill Nook.

Fieldhouse Mills, Rochdale ? 10
The 1900 mill with tower, seen from Whitworth Road. The mill was home the carpet manufacturers John Bright & Sons. This appears to have been the final major development on the site.

Fieldhouse Mills, Rochdale ? 7
The 1900 multi-storey mill, possibly a finishing area rather than a spinning mill. The apparent pointed distortion of the building is due to the fact that the corner of the building actually makes quite an acute angle!

Loading bay of the 1900 building. The extended hoist beam in the left hand arch would have allowed loading and unloading into railway wagons on a siding running alongside the building.
