Steps to the Norvic Clinic
The steps connect the disused St Andrew's Hospital > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2255403 annexe site with the modern Norvic clinic which adjoins the site in the north.
The clinic opened in May 1984, providing 45 medium secure assessment and treatment beds for male and female patients. Facilities include a physiotherapy department and gymnasium, occupational therapy department, workshop facilities and a horticulture garden. Photography was not permitted.

The site of St Andrew's hospital
All the buildings bar one have been razed to the ground in 2013, creating a large empty space which no doubt will be developed in due course. Only the Reception and Administration block with its water tower > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4821986 are still standing and would seem to be retained, presumably to be refurbished and converted into flats.

All the buildings bar one have been razed to the ground in 2013, creating a large empty space which no doubt will be developed in due course. Only the Reception and Administration block with its water tower > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4821986 are still standing and would seem to be retained, presumably to be refurbished and converted into flats.

The former mortuary and viewing room on Northside, dating from 1903, revisited in February 2018 > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5678530. This is a view into the morgue. Only a small part of the once vast complex of buildings forming the St Andrew's hospital complex is still standing: the reception and administrative block with its water tower above the main entrance > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4821996. The only other building to have survived is the mortuary > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4822100 situated on the edge of the site. Vandals have, sadly, trashed the interior.
