Rare Spitfire trainer at Norwich Airport

A pair of grills is a strange memorial to a R.A.F. Station
According to the inscription on the black marble slab, "These security grills were donated by Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council. They are the original 1930s security grills from the ex-sergeants mess building at Fifer's Lane, Horsham St. Faith."

RAF Horsham St. Faith Airfield Memorial
The design on the jet black marble shows a path leading to the setting sun and a poppy in the clouds above. 10 times better in reality when the eye can disregard reflection which the camera cannot.
