The Cross Keys in Hungate, Beccles was for many years a popular Public house. Since its closure, it has been a TV repair shop and offices. It seems the latest enterprise has also moved on.

Site of the former Black Horse public house
On the left, beyond the double gates, is the former Conservative Club, where the Cork and Bottle pub used to be, and the building on the right is the former Cross Keys public house. The Black Horse (open in 1758) was one of a pair of much smaller buildings which occupied this space until these dwelling houses were built on the plot about 1813. The landlord at the time was Jeremiah Howard.
