The former One Bell public house, Smallgate
The One Bell, sometimes called The Bell was open from around 1823 until about 1910. It was bought by the Co-operative and was the butchery department.
How much of the building is original is debatable but behind the façade is much older.

Public Conveniences - the site of a former Post Office
Before the conveniences were built this was the site of the Beccles post office. The pillar box stands where it always stood but the telephone call box which stood the other side of the downpipe, was removed a few years ago.
In 1875 the post office moved to the top of Rooks Lane in The Walk Image
