Hedgerow Oaks
Several Oaks, over 150 years old stand in the hedge rows.
Two woodland trust woods are within a mile of each other, this is the larger and older Three Gates Farm. The wood is a real mix with poplar wind breaks, broadleafed oaks and horse chestnuts as well as pear and apple trees because the site was an orchard. The woodland trust got the site in the 1990s and planting began.

Poppies and Oak Sapling, The Walks, Aldeby
Both natural and human made poppies near this protected oak sapling, on the edge of a wheat field along The Walks, Aldeby.
This is part of an initiative by Aldeby Parish Council to mark the 100th anniversary of the first world war. The Council decided to plant an oak tree for each of the men killed. 24 oaks have now been planted by a team from Clinks Care Farm in Toft Monks.
