Holst Close street sign, Lowestoft
Named in honour of Gustav Theodore Holst (1874 – 1934) : an English composer, arranger and teacher. Best known for his orchestral suite The Planets, although he composed many other works none exceeded the popularity of The Planets suite.

Named after Edward Benjamin Britten, (1913 – 1976), an English composer, conductor, and pianist. Born in Lowestoft. He was a central figure of 20th-century British music, with a range of works including opera, other vocal music, orchestral and chamber pieces. His best-known works include the opera Peter Grimes.

Delius Close street sign, Lowestoft
Named in honour of Frederick Theodore Albert Delius (1862 – 1934), originally Fritz Delius, was an English composer. He was born in Bradford in Yorkshire. His father Julius, moved from Westphalia to England to further his career as a wool merchant, and became a naturalised British subject in 1850.

Stench Pipe outside the Fighting Cocks Pub
One of the remaining stench pipes to still be found in the Lowestoft area. I recall in the 1950s and '60s there used to be a concrete sewage pumping station in the centre of the road. These, in Lowestoft and surrounding area were manufactured by Ham Baker & Co Limited - Engineers. Westminster.
