Plaque showing the former location of the village pound
The rectangular animal pound stood on this site. The original pound was demolished in 1931 but rebuilt for the sake of nostalgia in 1977. This one too was demolished when the developers moved in and built Bloomsbury Close and Oulton Court residential home, but the site preserved by agreement.

Pound Farm Drive, Oulton
The street is named after Pound Farm on which many of the streets and houses east of Gorleston Road are built. The farm was named after the Village Pound which stood almost opposite the farmhouse. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7274887
The farmhouse still stands fronting the Gorleston Road.
