Lowestoft station signal box
Track workers wearing high-vis clothing near the signal box. This was a Sunday evening and the following day, a bank holiday, only one platform was in use at the station, so they were probably securing the points out of action.

Looking westward from Lowestoft Station
This image is taken from the end of platforms 3 and 4, which are protected by the signals in the centre of the image. On the right can be seen the signal box controlling all of the signals in the station area. The buildings on the left are accessible from Commercial Road and the tall silo building is situated on the quayside beside Lake Lothing.

Named in honour of Admiral Sir John Ashby, who commanded HMS Victory at the Battles of Barfleur and La Hogue in 1692. He grew up in Suffolk and is buried in Lowestoft.
