Gorleston Old Cemetery
It is particularly poignant that the WW1 war grave in the foreground is for a Gorleston man who was killed exactly 100 years ago to the day that this photograph was taken.

Graves by the chapel in Gorleston cemetery
Gorleston cemetery was laid out in 1879 using a design by J. W. Cockrill, whose wife and family are buried here. The gate lodge was built by Cockrill in the same year and the chapel, also by Cockrill, was added in 1889. The chapel is grade II listed.
