Time and Tide Museum, Great Yarmouth - steam pump
This museum of local life, with emphasis on fishing, is housed in a former herring curing works. This pump was bought in 1913 by the Port & Haven Commissioners and used to clean the fishwharf at Great Yarmouth until the 1940s. It was built By Merryweather of London and comprises a quick steaming vertical boiler and a scotch crank steam pump mounted on a trolley along with a feed water tank.

This former herring curing works, now a museum, had a carbon dioxide refrigertion plant. This shows the 'engine room' with a motor driven compressor by West-Beynon.
