Kerry Hill sheep
Resting in the high grass; the cereal crop standing in the field beyond is still waiting to be harvested.
Kerry Hill sheep are sturdy animals, with their ears set high and free from wool. The black nose and sharply defined black and white makings on the head and legs are characteristic for the breed, as is the unusually white fleece which ranges amongst the softest of British wools. Both ewes and rams are hornless.
