Fletcher Convalescent Home - detail of tower
Situated on an elevation and looking down upon the modern complex of Benjamin Court Hospital below is the Fletcher building, a Victorian convalescent home. It still looks grand from a distance. A closer look reveals that most of the windows are boarded up and that the building is deteriorating. The north elevation, where the main entrance used to be, is adorned with a number of stone carvings and gargoyles can be seen high up on the square tower.
