Faldonside Lodge
A house of similar construction stands just across the road > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/791371. Both these houses are believed to have been designed by Augustus Frederic Scott. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustus_Frederic_Scott?oldid=722797592 The name of this building, situated at 25 Cliff Avenue by the junction with Norwich Road, is Faldonside Lodge. It is currently (2021) a residential home providing personal care to people aged 65 and over. It was originally known as Moriston House, when it was home to local solicitor EM Hansell. The name was later changed to Faldonside (sometimes given as Falconside). Faldonside and Kingswear form a pair, set each side of the Norwich Road entrance to Cliff Avenue.
