New sign below Beeston Bump
Obtrusive and inaccurate. It states that the material that makes the bump was "left behind when the glaciers retreated northwards at the end of the last ice age 10,000-15,000 years ago". This is slightly at odds with the designation of Beeston Bump as a SSSI due, in large part, to it being the "type site for the Beestonian Stage of the Pleistocene", which ended 866,000 years ago. There are also deposits from the Anglian Stage 450,000 years ago.
