Dolphin Inn, Norwich
Currently under conversion to a Chiropractic Centre, it was until recently the Dolphin Inn. The plaque outside states :
"Formerly the palace of Bishop Joseph Hall 1574 - 1656
Bishop of Norwich from 1644 until 1647 when he was forced to retire when his cathedral had been pillaged and desecrated"
It was however originally the residence of Richard Browne, a Sheriff of Norwich whose initials and arms can be found over the doorway with the date 1587.

256 Heigham Street - The Old Palace
This late 16th century, Grade II* listed house (the forecourt wall and railings are also listed) used to be the residence of Bishop Joseph Hall (1574-1656) who was Bishop of Norwich from 1644 until 1647. It then became the Dolphin Inn, and a Chiropractic Centre after that, and would currently seem to be a private dwelling.
