The village of South Creake is located on the B1355, five miles northwest of Fakenham and one mile south of the twin village of North Creake. The Old Chequers - the other side
This dwelling house once used to be the Chequers Inn. The high brick building seen beyond is the now disused factory where in 1933 the Alley brothers - the pioneers of motorised farming - of Bluestone Farm > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/942428 started manufacturing their 'Farmers Glory' brand of wheat flakes. During the war the building housed the GT Money Ace Works, a razorblade factory.
