War memorial, Fakenham
Fakenham war memorial on Market Place in the town centre. The tower of the church of St Peter and St Paul can be seen in the background. The same view as my picture from 2006. Image] However, spot the difference, there is now a gaping hole behind the tree in the far side of the square, nine years ago there was a white Georgian building here.

Gaping hole on Market Place
The buildings have been demolished here on the northern side of Market Place in Fakenham which has opened up the view of the church of St Peter and St Paul.

Market Place with Edward VII Coronation memorial
This is one of the most elaborate lamp posts one is likely to see, and commemorates the Coronation of Edward VII. For good measure it also includes a relief portrait of his mother Queen Victoria. It now stands in one corner of the Market Place, having been moved a couple of times.
