Spare Track on the Mainline Connecting Spur
Track panels have been stacked high for storage. This is on the Southern part of the Mid Norfolk railway which is usually closed to passengers, however gala trains went down to the network rail boundary.

Briton Way, Wymondham
A new housing development at the southwest edge of the town. The circular plaque on the wall states that this was the site of the Briton Brush Works, a significant local employer, from 1890 to 1985.

Bridge 1671 over the Southern Connection
About half a mile of track connects Wymondham Abbey station and Network Rail, this section is normally freight and rail tours only. However for the first time at a gala tracks went the furthest they could go. The line on the right is a siding.

The Mid Norfolk railway spur
Looking towards Dereham it looks like a new siding has been laid. The line was originally double from Wymondham to Dereham.
The spur is little used as passenger trains can't run into Wymondham mainline station yet.

Bridge 1672
Lady's Lane passing over the normally freight only section between the mainline and the Mid Norfolk Railways southern terminus at Wymondham Abbey station. Double track has been laid for more siding space, giving the illusion of the whole track being double track again, however sadly it was singled in the 1960s. The cross over on the lower part of the photo is part of the passing loop, for a view from the bridge see
