Hales Hospital - ruined greenhouse
On the grounds of the former hospital. The bricks are so-called Suffolk Soft Reds and date from about the mid 19th century, indicating that this building was constructed and used during the time Hales Hospital was a workhouse.

The lift has been grounded ever since the hospital closed in 1990. The rooms and corridors of this vast former hospital have been stripped bare of furniture when it was closed in 1990, and it seems that vandals have damaged what was left, including all glass windows.
