19 St Stephens Square - foundation stone
This stone dates back to parish rooms which had been built for the congregation of St Stephens church and have since been demolished. The inscription informs that this stone was laid by Miss CL Bignold on 26 July 1898. MC Davies MA had been the vicar; Reginald Jones BA was the curate; and John Bond Pearce and Arthur Weyer were the churchwardens. The parish rooms had been designed by the architect John B Pearce.
