Mutual Improvement Institution
The Improvement Institute, now the village hall, was built in 1857 of red brick with a black pantile roof. The inscription over the entrance door reads "Mutual Improvement Institution". Two tablets to the left of the door are inscribed "J. H. Warnes, May 10th 1859" and "This Institute was established by George Shreeve, November 2nd 1857". Bricks on porch bear various inscriptions, including "Miss L. Warnes". The building is Grade II listed.
