Converted Fuzing point
The original structure of the Fuzing point (Heavy) on the bomb storage area of RAF Swannington was a Nissen hut, still evident from the shape of the curved brick-built end walls which have been retained when the corrugated iron roof of the original building was replaced at some time in the late 1960s. The original base and the end walls were incorporated into the agricultural shed depicted here. It was demolished a few years ago to be replaced by a modern steel building of the same design and size.
