Horsford village sign
A double sided sign which shows as you enter the village from the south, a horse in a ford. The sign is surmounted by a crest of Fitz Walter. However on the reverse is a depiction of three young ladies ascending into the artist’s idea of Heaven. It replicates in simpler form a memorial window in the church erected in memory of three sisters who all died of tuberculosis within 18 months of each other despite seeking cures in Egypt and Switzerland. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1546102
