44 High Street, Crickhowell
Most of the buildings on High Street date back several centuries. This one, now a private residence, was at one time two houses, which were later converted into shops. The ground floor windows look more like shop windows than house windows. Nails were formerly made in a workshop at the back of the premises.

Lloyds TSB Crickhowell
Located on High Street, near the turning for Tower Street.
I was surprised to find a branch of Lloyds TSB in a town with a population of only about 2,800 when other more populous areas have lost their bank branch.
The explanation is probably a combination of factors, such as Crickhowell being a popular tourist destination, and being the financial centre for a large agricultural area.
This branch's opening hours in June 2010 were 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Closed at weekends.
