Aberffrwyd House on old A40
The house is next to Aberffrwyd Mill. The minor road in the foreground is part of the Usk Valley Walk.

Llansantffraed Court Lodge
The lodge is on the corner of the old road from Raglan to Abergavenny. 220 metres ahead, the access road to Llansantffraed Court Country House Hotel passes under the A40. The headroom in the underpass is 13' 6".

Aberffrwd House near Llanvihangel Gobion
Viewed across the Raglan to Abergavenny Road. Aberffrwd is Welsh for mouth of the stream, which here is about 150 metres to the SE, where Ffrwd Brook flows into the River Usk.

Entrance to a Virgin Balloon launch site near Llanvihangel Gobion
The field is on the south side of the road from Raglan to Abergavenny, near Aberffrwd House. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3044873 Judging by the untrodden grass in this mid-July view, the field has not been used for some time.

Entrance to Llansantffraed Court Hotel
Entrance to Llansantffraed Court Hotel from the old Raglan to Abergavenny road, the driveway to the hotel passes under the A40 dual carriageway between Raglan and Abergavenny. The bridge can be seen in the background to the right of the telegraph pole.

Ffrwd Brook near its confluence with the River Usk
The brook flows away to the SE from the Raglan to Abergavenny Road. It enters the Usk about 100 metres ahead. Its name is a tautology, because Ffrwd is Welsh for stream.
