It's not Portugal
It's Abergavenny. Hanging in the market hall is one of several models of domestic fowl. The black cockerel, which originated from a legend told in the town of Barcelos, is probably more widely recognised as the symbol of Portugal.

Abergavenny Market Hall
In amongst the tea pots and soft fruit is the slightly surreal sight of plastic farm animals suspended from the overhead girders. We've got to be thankful that this wasn't an art 'installation' by D Hirst!
