Big Pit Mining Museum
The Big Pit was a working coal mine from 1880 to 1980 when it closed. In 1983 it opened as the Big Pit National Coal Museum.

The showers without naked miners. Big Pit's pithead baths were opened in 1939 and share a building with the medical centre and canteen on an elevated part of the site near the fan house.
