Water Balance Tower, Blaenavon Ironworks
Iconic Grade I listed structure, built in 1839, to lift pig iron from the yard up to a tram road for onward transport to the canal at Llanfoist. The retaining wall on the right supports a footpath which passes behind the tower and leads to the top of the blast furnaces.
