Blaenavon post office inside Artie Craftie

G Spencer shop, Blaenavon

The Commercial Street electrical appliance shop was opened by George Spencer c1960. The South Wales Argus reported that he continued working in this shop until the day he died at the age of 86. About 300 people attended his funeral on November 13th 2014. George Spencer was the last chairman of the Urban District Council in Blaenavon (1973-1974), before local government reorganisation.
