Pontypool & New Inn Station

Arriva train departs from Pontypool & New Inn station
The Arriva service from Cardiff to Hereford departs on time at 10:05 am from Pontypool & New Inn station, platform 1. The service normally runs through to Manchester, but today, a replacement bus service is running between Hereford and Shrewsbury following the death of a woman when two cars were hit by a train on a level crossing in Herefordshire.

Pontypool & New Inn Railway Station adoption plaque
Located here https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7471861 the plaque records that the station was adopted by Matthew Harrison under the Arriva Trains Wales Adopt a Station Initiative on 21 February 2006. The text is also in Welsh.

Into Pontypool & New Inn railway station
A small yellow notice shows Caution Mind your head. In April 2023 this is the only station entrance / exit. When this https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7471849 footbridge under construction is open, it will give station access from the A4042.
