Former Woolworths, Ebbw Vale
The presence of a flooring services van outside the former Woolworths at 32 Bethcar Street suggests that the premises may have acquired a new owner.
The premises have been unused since all UK Woolworth stores ceased trading at the start of January 2009.

Former Workmen's Hall, Ebbw Vale
Located alongside a narrow lane behind the library http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1830232 is the now boarded-up Workmen's Club, built in 1907. Following a pattern seen elsewhere, the original club and theatre became a cinema and then a bingo hall before closing down.

Heart of the Furnace, dragon sculpture, Bank Square
As part of the regeneration of the former steel (and coal) town of Ebbw Vale in the South Wales valleys a series of public art works were commissioned.
This is called 'Heart of the Furnace, Calon y Ffwrnais', and is a 4 metre high stainless steel dragon created by South Wales blacksmiths Sam Pask and William Holland of Phoenix Forge which stands in Bank Square.
it has become a much loved and photographed sculpture in the town.
