The plaque on the front wall of 2 Queens Square http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1821683 records that the house is part of a stone-faced terrace originally built as a workhouse and school in the 1820s with iron roof trusses, cast in the nearby works. (Aneurin) Bevan's mother, Phoebe and her daughter Arianwen Bevan Norris, lived here and it was used for a time as Bevan's constituency base.
