Ty-Coed is the home ground of Bettws RFC (Rugby Football Club) who played in the SWALEC League Division 5 East in season 2010-2011. The view shows the wooded areas of Garth Fawr and Coed-y-crydd, and, near the left edge, houses at the NW edge of the Bettws housing estate.

Houses on the south side of Medway Road, Bettws, Newport
Between Otter Close on this side and Mole Close ahead. Though it looks like these two Closes were named after animals, they are not. Most of the street names in Bettws have a river theme. The main road through the estate is Monnow Way. Otter Close is named after the River Otter in Devon. The River Mole is a tributary of the River Thames.
