Oliphant Circle on the edge of undeveloped land
Oliphant Circle bends to the left past Graham Bell Close (just beyond the right edge of the photo). Oliphant Circle is on the southern edge of a strip of undeveloped land stretching northwards for 2 kilometres to the southern edge of Cwmbran, between the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal to the west and the A4051 to the east.

Graham Bell Close, Malpas in first stage of renovation
The incomplete scaffolding and white colour of the building are signs that renovation work is in its early stages. Compare with adjacent Bessemer Close, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1625709 where the scaffolding is much more extensive, and the building is painted in a pinkish hue. Snowy St Anne's RC church, Malpas, Newport
Snow has been cleared from the path to the church from the Oliphant Circle entrance. St Anne's is part of the Roman Catholic parish of All Saints, Newport, created in November 2007 from the merger into one parish of the former 6 parishes in the west of Newport: St Anne, St Basil & St Gwladys, St David, St David Lewis, St Mary and St Michael.
