Walkers have the choice of walking on the snow-free parts of the roadway, or the snowier pavements. The roadway choice is less dangerous than it may seem, as few vehicles were in evidence today.

Your speed indicator alongside Almond Drive, Newport
On a lamppost on the approach to the Catalpa Close junction. Currently off, the indicator illuminates to display the speed of an approaching vehicle, in green if 20mph or lower, in red if higher. The 20mph speed limit is in force near Malpas Park Primary School.
